- Carefully remove the factory door panels to access the factory speaker.
- Unplug the speaker wires from the speaker terminals.
- Carefully remove the speaker from the existing door mount.
- Carefully align and mount the Foundation Mount to the door using the supplied hardware.
- Once the Foundation Mount is attached, now route the speaker wire through the door, through the Foundation mount and attach it to the terminals on the rear of the speaker. Be sure to notice the alignment of (+) and (-) on the wire, and which terminal you attach them to. Be very sure to attach ALL speakers and wires maintaining the same phase connection as you proceed. If you get any of the speaker wires reversed from each other, the sound will suffer. Bass will be less powerful, less focused and imaging will be lost.
- Once the speaker is wired correctly, mount it carefully to the Foundation Mount using the supplied hardware. Before re-attaching the door panel, test the speaker with some music to ensure connections have been made securely and correctly.
- Now re-install the door panel. Repeat this process for the other speakers and door panels
