When
building a solid
front stage it doesn?t
only take great
speakers, amps,
and a good source
but the passive
xovers play a very
important role as
well. In my case
I needed an xover
that can handle
lots of power for
the 3 way 07 set
im using and the
es-300's came to
mind. These xovers
use NO protectors
to limit power or
shut speakers off
when u just want
to crank up the
volume..
The
build which is top
notch is a must
for an xover of
this caliber, especially
when your going
to run 350x2+RMS
through them hehehe.
The xovers use solid
connections and
all internal work
and parts are way
above average.
The up-526xt modules
are also screaming
with quality and
use pretty much
the same chassis
as the es-300's.
The DRT-26a 1"
modular aluminum
Tweeters are also
very nice looking
in build and feel.
The Tweeter housings
are also very flexible
which allow for
easy removal of
the Tweeter dome
and mounting. CDT
also includes angle
shims which can
be mounted under
the main housing
for the ability
to face the Tweeter
any way you like. |

Install
was
a breeze
with
the
directions
included
and
I was
like
a little
kid
ready
to play
with
his
new
toy.
Track
of choice
was
Enigma
- Gregorian
Chant
which
is a
very
cool
track
that
will
test
the
sq of
any
system.
When
listening
to this
track
you
will
notice
the
exotic
flute
that
is played.
This
setup
makes
the
sound
stage
so wide
and
spacial
you
will
think
you
are
listening
to a
home
reference
system.
The
sound
of this
instrument
sounds
so good
I just
kept
rewinding
it hahaha.
For
the
top
end
the
drt26a
Tweeters
are
just
fantastic.
Every
sound
is separate
and
never
ringing
or together
with
blare.
First
metal
dome
I have
ever
heard
with
this
precision.
Another
shocker
is this
Tweeter
is very
smooth
but
still
has
the
speed
and
detail
that
a silk
can
only
dream
of.
If you?re
a silk
dome
fan
and
never
wanted
to try
a metal
dome
cause
you
thought
they
sounded
to harsh
try
these.
You
will
thank
me!

This
setup
I just
don't
see myself
changing
for a
very long
time or
at all!
It is
the first
time I
can truly
say I
have no
regrets
with my
purchase
which
is a rare
thing.
