The Head
Unit: Chrysler AM/FM/Cassette w/CD Changer Install
notes - the OEM head unit uses a high quality high to
low level converter, fully adjustable to the amplifier
RCA input. Twisted pair RCA cables keep out the
possibility of any unwanted induced noise.

Turns The Component Set Into An "Instant
Install" Coaxial Style Product. Install note -
The bracket design allows for an angle on the Tweeter
not possible with other coaxial speakers. Due to the
Cherokee's high center console, low steering column,
and sectioned driver/passenger seating arrangement,
the mounting angle of the Tweeter makes it possible to
lift the sound up where the OEM Tweeter in the dash
normally goes, yet maintain the tight focus of point
source driver mounting and easier installation. The
OEM opening is for a 6x9 speaker, so the Jeep could
easily accommodate the CDT 6.5" two way with the
soft dome Tweeter as well. The front doors are
entirely sound deadened with visco-elastic sound
damping materials on both the inner and outer door
skins to ensure peak midbass performance and no
unwanted resonance.

- The large mounting flange of the driver basket
easily accommodates the oversized 3 hole Jeep mount in
the rear doors without the need for any additional
adapters or spacers. The rear doors are entirely sound
deadened with visco-elastic sound damping materials on
both the inner and outer door skins.

Comments: The overall design
is very simple in nature, yet rewarding in result. By
taking the guesswork out of driver selection, mounting
configurations, or power requirements, the CDT Y2K
Jeep Grand Cherokee has a system that virtually any
installer could easily replicate in a matter of hours.
With rich front sound accented by rear fill and a
slightly quieted interior, the sound system will
satisfy even the most selective and discriminating car
audio enthusiast. Careful attention has been paid to
all of the subtle installation details and CDT
carefully documents each one to allow other similar
installations to follow in a time friendly, lease
friendly fashion. Special considerations such as the
door-to body Molex connectors and even the pass
through point in the firewall are all taken care of.
With all of the guesswork and rocket science removed,
it is no wonder we keep asking...
Who says high
end car audio has to be so difficult?
