The Head Unit:
 |
Chrysler AM/FM/Cassette w/CD Changer Install notes - the OEM head unit uses a high quality high to low level converter, fully adjustable to the amplifier RCA input. Twisted pair RCA cables keep out the possibility of any unwanted induced noise. |

EuroSport ES-630 (6.5" Braxial Style Component Set)
-6.5" Cast Alloy Midrange
-1" Silk Softdome Tweeter EuroSport ES-200
"Transient Optimized" Eliptic 2-way Crossover -CNC
Machined Aluminum Tweeter bridge. The Tweeter Bridge
Turns The Component Set Into An "Instant Install"
Coaxial Style Product. Install note - The bracket
design allows for an angle on the Tweeter not possible
with other coaxial speakers.
 |

Due to the Dodge Ram's high center console, low steering column, and sectioned driver/passenger seating arrangement, the mounting angle of the Tweeter makes it possible to lift the sound up to the passenger's ear level, yet maintains the tight focus of point source driver mounting and easier installation.
|
|
| The OEM opening is for a 6x9 speaker, so the Dodge Ram
could easily accommodate the EuroSport Competition 6.5" two way with the
soft dome Tweeter as well. The front doors are
entirely sound deadened with visco-elastic sound
damping materials on both the inner and outer door
skins to ensure peak midbass performance and no
unwanted resonance. |

EuroSport "Transient Optimized" Elliptic Crossovers
 |
|
The passive crossover has a very important job in the component speaker system. It needs to divide the duties for precise musical reproduction to the appropriate drivers without introducing unmusical artifacts. Engineering a perfect compliment to the highly acclaimed CDT "EuroSport" drivers was an equally challenging task The "Transient Optimized" crossovers called SatNet, are an engineering breakthrough for car audio.
They are an ingeniously designed fourth order, elliptic type network that offers very distinct advantages over conventional "Butterworth" or "Linkwitz-Riley" passive filter topologies. This topology is so unique that this is the VERY FIRST TIME it has been used commercially in a car audio application. The key to performance is optimal precision, which means speed with accuracy. These are opposing principals and getting the most of both presents a challenge. Optimizing rates and interfacing with driver qualities is required to virtually cause the music to flow forward away from the mounting positions of the drivers to produce a three dimensional image.
What you hear is an astonishing dimensionality; fast clean transients and virtually no listening fatigue - to an unprecedented degree. |

The Rear Fill: 1 pr. CL-5XB (5.25" Braxiall) With Angled, bridge mounted 1" Silk Soft Dome Tweeter Install note - The driver basket easily fit into the Ram rear doors without the need for any additional adapters or spacers. The rear doors are entirely sound deadened with visco-elastic sound damping materials on both the inner and outer door skins. The rear fill speakers are powered by rear channel amplifier of the head unit.

Comments:The overall design is very simple in nature, yet rewarding in result. By taking the guesswork out of driver selection, mounting configurations, or power requirements, the CDT 2002 Dodge Ram has a system that virtually any installer could easily replicate in a matter of hours. With rich front sound accented by rear fill and a slightly quieted interior, the sound system will satisfy even the most selective and discriminating car audio enthusiast. Careful attention has been paid to all of the subtle installation details and CDT carefully documents each one to allow other similar installations to follow in a time friendly, lease friendly fashion. Special considerations such as the door-to body Molex connectors and even the pass through point in the firewall are all taken care of. With all of the guesswork and rocket science removed, it is no wonder we keep asking...
So if you are at all concerned about sound quality and performance in your vehicle, make sure that the last link in your listening chain is the unparalleled of CDT's EuroSport Competition speaker systems with "Transient Optimized" crossovers. The the last link in your audio chain will also be the strongest - CDT Audio EuroSport Competition Grade Speaker Systems.
Some of the most critical ears in the audio industry have turned to CDT Audio. Take a listen for yourself and you'll be a believer too.
